Ustaadh barakallahu feekum I miss the days when i saw your khutbas/reminders yrs ago on dailyreminder/digital mimbar Back then I'd say you were more inspiring as a role model for muslim men. You seem to have quran and sunnah as the lens to view concepts including masculinity back then. Now, Allahu A'lam, but on the outside seems you are having masculinity as the lens and the Qur'an and sunnah as the object or concept under scrutiny. Which creates sometimes true but often times distorted views/call to action. Dont get me wrong, no man would honestly say modern feminism is good. But dont counter extremes (feminism) with another extreme.

I find myself thinking that the only way to protect my soul is by choosing never to marry. I know that Allah’s mercy is vast, and He forgives those who turn to Him in sincere repentance, even for the sin of zina. But just because someone is forgiven by Allah doesn’t mean I have to marry them. Forgiveness belongs to Allah, but the decision to marry is my own. There are times when I wonder if I should have just committed those sins, repented, and sought forgiveness. But how could I live with myself knowing I betrayed the very principles that define who I am? It’s painful, feeling like my greatest wrong is that I never stumbled into zina. It’s as if those of us who remained pure are the ones left suffering, while the world seems to move on without us. People will tell us to get mental help just for wanting a wife who hasn’t been with another man. Zina is everywhere now, and it feels impossible to find someone who’s completely honest about their past. The thought of being deceived or betrayed crushes me. So, for me, the answer is to avoid marriage altogether-to shield myself from the pain and preserve my values. I’d rather face anything, even death, than marry someone whose past would tear me apart.
